Rio Verde Saddlery and Desert Holly Studio are the combined efforts of David and Judith Rowland. At Rio Verde Saddlery/Desert Holly Studio they are dedicated to providing their customers with the best in saddles, tack, gun leather and other leatherwork. Because they are a custom leathr shop and take pride in each item that bears their name, each item is individually handcrafted and has their assurance of quality.

In his saddle shop David uses his more than 35 years experience in leather work, to build quality saddles and tack that will be comfortable during long rides yet have a beauty that will last throughout the years. as well as restore and repair various leather items. He builds both modern saddles and authentically reproduced saddles from the 19th and early 20th century saddlemakers.

As did the early saddlemakers such as Gallatin, Meanea and Collins, he also makes holsters, cartridge belts and rifle scabbards using top quality Amerrican leather. Styles range from the simple to the highly ornate.

Judith realized that while she did not want to build saddles she was interested in working with leather. In 2003 she opened Desert Holly Studio where she could learn to create such items such as leather water bottle holders, cell phone cases, leather barrettes, leather jewelry and other small leather items.
